Wondered why geysers erupt periodically? The riddle has been solved by researchers at the University of California, Berkley. In a new study they reveal that geysers have underground tunnels circled with a lot of side-rooms which causes steam to warm up the water and make it jet out. All the process is depicted in detail in the February number of the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research.
