The Purge: Anarchy is the follow-up flop to last year’s poorly constructed cat-and-mouse chase film The Purge. And just like the first one, I was convinced by an intense and alluring movie trailer that the films were going to be over-the-top crime fests. But in reality, the only crimes in the film were the poor acting and excruciating script.
Anarchy focuses on a kooky and obnoxious cast of five people who, by unfortunate fate, try to survive on the dangerous streets of Los Angeles during the deadliest night of the year: The Purge. On this night all crime, including murder, is legal.
