Purdue Research Team Discovers Large Crater in Moon

A team of researchers from Purdue University has discovered a previously unknown crater in the moon; which is odd because it is easily one of the widest ever discovered—at 124-miles across.

Indeed, study leader Professor Jay Melosh explains, “This is one of the biggest craters on the moon, but no one knew it was there.”
