Providence Ebola victim to get transfusion from Ebola survivor

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Providence journalist being treated for the Ebola virus at Nebraska Medical Center will receive a blood transfusion from an Ebola survivor to help him recover, the hospital announced on Wednesday.

Ashoka Mukpo, 33, a graduate of the Moses Brown School, will be given a transfusion of blood from Kent Brantly, a U.S. medical missionary who contracted Ebola in July while working as a doctor in Liberia.
