Princeton Researchers move Step Forward in quantum-computing

A major step in the area of quantum-computing has been taken by the researchers of Princeton University. They have successfully created a microwave laser or maser that is of the size of rice grain. It is powered by single electrons from artificial atoms called quantum dots.

More than the lasers, the researchers were interested in quantum dots.
