(Bloomberg) -- A top court in Thailand accepted criminal charges against former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra in connection with her government’s program to aid rice farmers, raising the possibility that she could be jailed.

Though Yingluck is not accused of corruption herself in this case, the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions will now decide whether she was guilty of criminal negligence for not stopping the alleged graft in the program, which bought rice from farmers at above-market ...
