In Pre-Amazonian Peru, Crocodiles lived in harmony: Researchers

A new research has revealed that Peru was the paradise of Crocodiles before the existence of the Amazon River. There were seven species of crocs, the four legged giant lizards, with no human beings. But the coming of Amazon River vanished majority of them. These crocodiles used to eat foods smaller than pigs, chickens or whoever happened to cross their way.

The latest study in the proceedings of the Royal B has revealed that the huge Amazon basin was the hub of a variety of crocodiles, before the formation of the Amazon River about 10.5 million years ago.
