Portugal gets 5 bids for concession deals to run Lisbon subway and buses

LISBON, Portugal – Portugal's government says it has received bids from five companies for the concession agreements to run the Lisbon subway and the Lisbon bus company.

Sergio Monteiro, secretary of state for transport, said Monday that Britain's National Express Group PLC, France's Groupe RATP and Spain's Grupo Avanza have presented bids to operate both public transport companies.
