WASHINGTON: India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has surged to 5th place in the list of most followed world leaders on Twitter amid growing recognition that online social networking has become an indispensable diplomatic and communication tool. In fact, a report on social media engagement of world leaders and governments released on Tuesday by public relations firm Burson-Marsteller has a term for such diplomatic outreach: Twiplomacy.
