Planetarium hosts free viewing of partial solar eclipse

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — The public is invited to a free viewing party to observe the partial solar eclipse Thursday night.

The White Pines Planetarium, with the help of Boy Scout Troop 246, is setting up several projection devices on Grand Haven City Beach to safely view the eclipse as the sun sets over Lake Michigan. Eclipse shades will also be available. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.
