BLOEMFONTEIN, South Africa — Oscar Pistorius’ case is being heard by South Africa’s Supreme Court of Appeal, where prosecutors are again pushing for a murder conviction against the double-amputee athlete for shooting his girlfriend.
Prosecutors and Pistorius’ defense lawyers present arguments Tuesday to a panel of five judges, who will decide if Pistorius’ manslaughter conviction should stand or if it should be changed to a more serious murder conviction. The judges could also order another trial.
