Philae Harpoon Malfunction Could have Saved Philae Lander

Malfunctions in the landing harpoon in the case of the Rosetta Philae lander could be considered as a positive thing for the mission. The lander had two harpoons, designed to anchor the lander to the surface of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
