Will Jawando, a Democratic candidate for Congress in Maryland’s 8th District, has received campaign contributions from Martin Shkreli, the pharmaceutical executive and hedge fund manager charged Thursday with securities fraud, Federal Election Commission records show.
Filings from Jawando’s third quarter report show that Shkreli and executives of his company, Turing Pharmaceuticals, contributed more than $28,000 to Jawando’s campaign--about 10 percent of his total donations.
