Last year, NBC’s live production of The Sound of Music had solid ratings, but tepid reviews. The supporting cast of Tony winners Audra McDonald, Laura Benanti and Christian Borle basically carried the show, since Carrie Underwood’s acting ability can be described in six words: “Line reading with a blank expression.”
He played the pre-Captain Hook character Black Stache (which happens to be the name of the band we just started) in Pan prequel Peter and the Starcatcher. He won the 2012 Best Actor Tony for it. Because he’s just that cool.
