Perdue Foods Stops Using Antibiotics at its Chicken Hatcheries

An initiative that started five years ago has now come to an end, said Perdue Foods. It announced on Wednesday that it has removed all antibiotics from its chicken hatcheries.

The effort was started with an aim to put an end to the unnecessary usage of antibiotics. Now, no more Perdue unit uses antibiotics for growth promotion in its chicken production. Since 2007, it has stopped using antibiotics for the same purpose.
