A recent study shows that people who focus on eating at least 30 grams of fiber per day share the same odds of losing weight with people trying to comply with the stricter weight-loss recommendations delivered by the American Heart Association (A.H.A).
The study involved 240 people diagnosed as clinically obese with metabolic syndrome. The participants were asked to either follow A.H.A.’s guidelines on losing weight, or consume the minimum 30 gr. fiber intake on a daily basis. No physical activity was imposed.
