Path to breast cancer care differs by race, ethnicity

(Reuters Health) – Breast cancer patients of different races and ethnicities may not pick surgeons and hospitals in the same way, a new study suggests.

For example, black and Hispanic women with breast cancer were less likely than white women to select surgeons and hospitals based on reputation, researchers found.
