On Monday, climate talks will begin in Paris. Officially, the event is known as the 21st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. But it is commonly known as the Paris climate talks, with the Twitter hashtag #COP21. By the way, they are actually being held in a Parisian suburb, Le Bourget.
What are the Paris climate talks? The talks, which will last until Dec. 11, are intended to bring together representatives of nearly 200 nations to reach a global agreement limiting the production of greenhouse gases that have been stoking climate change.
