Parents with an autistic child less likely to have more children

Parents who have a kid with an autism spectrum disorder may factor in the disorder while deciding whether to have another child, a new study conducted by University of California researchers has concluded.

The research, published in the journal JAMA Psychiatry, found that parents with an autistic child were unlikely to have more children. The team examined the probability that every family continued to have more children over a period of 15 years.
