Paramount Looking To Bulk Up TRANSFORMERS Franchise

Marvel really started a new trend in films with their shared universe concept. Since the then fledgling studio launched the idea, other studios have been scrambling to do the same, applying it to franchises and films that really make you scratch your head (Robin Hood? Really?). Disney, who now owns Marvel Studios is currently expanding on the idea and applying it to the Star Wars franchise, by not only adding sequel s to the mix, but also producing several spinoff films set in the same universe. It’s this concept that Paramount is reportedly hijacking and applying it to their lucrative Transformers films.
