Pakistani officials say Indian fire kills 2 civilians, wounds 14 near disputed Kashmir

ISLAMABAD – Two Pakistani security officials say "unprovoked" Indian gunfire and shelling has killed at least two civilians near the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir.

The officials said Monday that another 14 people were wounded in the incident the night before near Sialkot, a city in the eastern Punjab province. They say Pakistani forces responded, and hundreds of residents have fled the exchange of fire.
