Unfortunately, the price of generic drugs has skyrocketed over the past few years as more and more people turn to pharmaceuticals to cure what ails them. Of course, prescription drugs usually do not offer a cure for something—they are usually simply palliative and help deal with symptoms instead of root problems.
Obviously that makes them a serial product—something that people have to use all the time. And that is also unfortunate because it makes prescription drugs that much more profitable.
