Orbital cargo ship will launch from East Coast on Monday

Orbital Sciences team is ready with Cygnus cargo ship for Monday launch from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The unmanned cargo ship will carry 1,500 pounds of materials and space experiments for the astronauts at the International Space Station. The total weight of the supplies carried by the cargo ship is 5,000 pounds.

The current mission will be the third private mission to the International Space Station. SpaceX has also successfully completed cargo missions to ISS. The rocket will blast off at 6:45 p.m. EDT and the cargo ship is expected to reach the ISS by November 2.
