One reported dead in Denmark in attack on cartoonist

At least two gunmen opened fire Saturday at a free speech event at a Copenhagen cafe in what police said was an apparent assassination attempt on Lars Vilks, a Swedish artist who has received death threats for publishing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in 2007.

Vilks, who was hustled into a side room by bodyguards, but, according to Danish TV2., one person was killed and at least two police officers were wounded.
