Older unemployed workers settle for less

Finding a job after losing one doesn’t necessarily put you back where you were financially, especially among older people, according to the AARP.

A study by the Washington-based association found 48 percent of people between 45 and 70 years old who lost their job in the last five years and have found a new one are making less than they were. Most say they’re getting paid less and working fewer hours.
