Oceans Put Global Warming On Hold, but It May Resume Soon

A recently published paper shows that the slowdown in global warming we have been experiencing over the last decade may be linked to a natural variation in the Pacific Ocean’s surface temperatures. But, scientists warn, the phenomenon is set to end soon so global warming will continue its course.

However, it is not the first time, a study tries to explain the sudden “pause” climate change experienced since 1998. Some studies linked the slowdown to solar activity, while others placed the blame on escalation in global volcanic activity.
