It is important to look for oceans to find life on earth-like planets, not the atmosphere, said a new paper in Astrobiology. Focus of most computer simulations of habitable climates has increasingly been on their atmosphere, but it is very important to understand from Venus that oceans are the ones that play a vital role for climate stability and habitability, said the paper.
