A new study has showed that rise in ocean temperatures increases the frequency of massive hurricanes. The study has indicated towards the need of battling climate change. Published in Earth's Future, the study has showed the future requirement of devising strategies to deal with frequent and fearful hurricanes as sea temperatures are on the rise above levels in the distant past.
The study saw analysis of sediment deposits and determined that severe and frequent hurricanes devastated the eastern US coastline in prehistoric times because of warmer ocean temperatures.
