Obesity escalates problems connected with specific cancers

A study has been conducted on more than five million adults in UK and researchers have come up with results that prove that 10 cancers every year can be attributed to obesity. The BMI of 1,66,955 people was checked and it was found that 17 types was associated out of 22 specific types of cancer.

People with a high BMI could increase the risk of contracting cancer of the liver, ovaries, colon or breast while other people with increase in BMI were likely to contract cancers of the gallbladder, kidney, thyroid, cervix and leukemia.
