Obesity Agency Suggests Fining the Parents of Obese Children

Apparently some believe that it should be necessary to find the parents of obese children. Or, rather, at least one obesity charity argues this, claiming that these parents are “lazy slobs who don’t care.”

National Obesity Forum spokesperson and chair of the Child Growth Foundation, Tam Fry, says that our the country really needs a “wake-up call” and we should definitely follow Puerto Rico’s lead as they are considering financial punishment for families who ignore legislative health advice.
