Obama's carbon reduction plan will help polar bears, slow wildlife extinctions

In one of the most aggressive moves yet by President Barack Obama to combat climate change, the Environmental Protection Agency announced its plan Monday to reduce carbon emissions by 30 percent by 2030.

Some environmental groups say the plan doesn’t go far enough, but others applaud Obama’s bold move to circumvent the onslaught of carbon-curbing opposition in Congress by science deniers and lawmakers representing coal states.
