Obama to make statement on economy, tax evasion in impromptu appearance

WASHINGTON — President Obama will talk about a new lackluster jobs report and discuss ways to combat money laundering and tax evasion while addressing reporters at the White House Friday.

Though the 160,000 jobs added to the economy in April was less that economists had forecast, the White House has noted that it marks a record-setting 74th straight month of job growth.
