PROVIDENCE, R.I. — President Obama has canceled his trip on Thursday to Rhode Island where he was scheduled to appear at Rhode Island College to deliver a speech on the economy.
He also has postponed a trip to New York scheduled for Thursday. On Wednesday, the Ebola crisis caused him to cancel trips to New Jersey and Connecticut. Later Wednesday, he officially endorsed Democrat Gina Raimondo for Rhode Island governor.
