O, Romeo...wherefore art thou Romeo, 400 years later?

In Verona, you can go and see 'Juliet's Balcony', jutting from a house owned by the Capello family in the 17th century. Someone decided the Capellos were the model for Shakespeare's Capulets, whose "ancient grudge" with the Montagues launched one hell of a tragedy of star-crossed love.

It doesn't matter that the balcony was added in the last century and can't have been Juliet's, even if she had existed. Tourists congregate under it, marvelling, taking pictures and sticking love notes on the walls with chewing gum.
