'Nurse Jackie' Gets One Last Shift for Seventh & Final Season

David Nevins, President of Showtime Networks Inc., announced today the premium cable network will be closing the doors of Manhattan's All-Saints Hospital with a seventh and final season of "Nurse Jackie." The dark comedy-drama, about a pill-popping emergency department nurse played by Edie Falco, premiered to critical acclaim in 2009 and became a strong entry in Showtime's catalogue of complex female-led dramadies. The sixth season averaged 3.4 million weekly viewers across all platforms, meaning "Nurse Jackie" will get to say goodbye while successfully remaining in viewership demand.
