Not All Obese People Develop Metabolic Problems, Say Researchers

A new research says that obesity does not always go hand in hand with metabolic changes in the body, which could lead to diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

Researchers from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis asked 20 obese men and women to pack on an additional 15 pounds, over the span of several months. They then analyzed how the weight gain affected their body’s metabolic functions.
