Northen Irish Parties Reach Deal as Company Tax Nears

Northern Ireland’s political parties reached a “broad” agreement on a range of contentious issues, Ireland’s Foreign Minister said, paving the way for a cut in the region’s corporate tax rate.

The accord sets out a plan for financial and welfare reform, hands responsibility for controversial parades to the region’s assembly and provides for measures to deal with Northern Ireland’s troubled past, Charlie Flanagan said in a statement posted on the foreign affairs ministry’s Twitter account.
