STOCKHOLM – Norway's Statoil says a drilling rig in the North Sea has been hit by a big wave, killing one worker and prompting the evacuation of the platform.
In a statement, Statoil said a "heavy wave" slammed into the COSL Innovator rig, injuring three people and damaging the rig's accommodation module. The injured were airlifted to land by Norwegian rescuers. Statoil said one of them died later.
