Nonprofit plans to overhaul Detroit school, surrounding area

A nonprofit organization plans to overhaul a Detroit high school this summer and work with thousands of volunteers to improve the surrounding neighborhood.

A kickoff for Life Remodeled's work at Osborn High School takes place Friday on the building's roof, which organizers say leaks when it rains. Improvements to the gym, library and cafeteria are planned.
