OSLO, Norway — The Norwegian Nobel Committee picked a new leader, voting out Thorbjoern Jagland who as head of the world's most-prestigious award embarrassed a U.S. president and damaged relations between Norway and China.
Jagland, a former prime minister, became the first sitting leader to be voted out and will be replaced by Kaci Kullmann Five.
