‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ Director Wes Craven Dies

Wes Craven, the influential director behind the original “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and several other cult horror films, has died. He had just turned 76 earlier in August.

A post on Craven’s verified Twitter account posted a photo of the director with the text “1939 – 2015,” while the Associated Press reported his death.
