Night shifts put black women at higher diabetes risk

New York, Jan 12 (IANS): African-American women who work for night shifts are significantly more likely to develop diabetes than those who have never worked at night, shows data from a large ongoing study led by an Indian-origin scientist.

The increased risk of diabetes seen in shift workers was more pronounced in younger women than older women.
