Mayor Bill de Blasio's office said on Sunday night that an agreement has been reached on the future of New York's horse carriage industry. According to the city council, the agreement will reduce the number of licensed horses from approximately 180 to 110 by December 1st.
"We are pleased to have reached an agreement in concept on the future of New York's horse carriage industry. We look forward to working together on the final details of this legislation and getting this passed."
