New York Boaters Asked to Take Reasonable Precautions

On September 2, a bill has been signed by the Governor Cuomo that needs New York boaters to take "reasonable precautions" to prevent spread of invasive species. It means that boaters have to clean drain and dry their boats before they launch.

The bill (A9619-B, S7851-B) advances current efforts by the State and private organizations to stop the spread of invasive aquatic species into New York's waters.
