Thirteen retailers, including Target Corp. and Gap Inc., have been criticized by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman for allegedly using on-call schedules that leave workers not knowing if they'll be paid that day or not.
The Wall Street Journal reports on the news, saying that Schneiderman has sent letters to the companies warning them that his office believes such practices may violate New York law.
