Amid all the alarm I’ve been raising about antibiotic resistance recently, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of a new drug to combat acute skin and soft tissue infections, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA.
