New Study Makes Startling Discovery About The Domestication of Horses

A new, extensive, study from an international team have sequenced the genomes of both modern and ancient horses to find that at least 125 genes may have been involved in the entire 5,500-year process of equine domestication.

“We provide the most extensive list of gene candidates that have been faovred by humans following the domestication of horses,” reports co-author Beth Shapiro, the head of University of California, Santa Cruz Paleogenomics Lab.
