New Research From University College London Describes HIV Progression In New Two-Path Way

HIV research continues to shed more light on this progressive and complex disease. Recently, experts with the University College London have used more recent studies to develop a new model for the progression of the virus. This model notes that HIV actually spreads through the body in two ways. First, the virus will get into the bloodstream, of course. Secondly, though, HIV interacts directly with cells.

Professor Benny Chain, of UCL Infection and Immunity, is one of the senior study authors.
