In Monday’s Better Call Saul premiere we did not necessarily see Saul Goodman in a court room. We saw Jimmy McGill representing clients as a public defender for the city of Albuquerque. Just because McGill had not yet transformed into his Saul Goodman future doesn’t mean that he didn’t try to draw-up some shady deals.
In Episode 1, “Uno,” McGill calls the bluff of a scamming skateboarding duo. Cal and Lars Lindholm tried scamming the wrong person. Goodman criticizes them for their feeble attempt of tomfoolery. He changes his tone and eventually comes back to them later in the episode with a business proposition.
