New Interns Not Allowed to Practice on Patients in Boot Camp

New doctors at a Chicago hospital cannot practice on patients. The interns must pass a boot camp first with fake patients, fake emergencies and fake wound stitching.

The aim is to eliminate jitters on the first day, boost their preparation and ensure patient safety. Many medical students learnt similar skills in medical school but their new degrees require a new level of responsibility.
